2020: Delta Line Expands Operations into North America

This is the fifth and last episode of our journey through Delta Line’s 40-year history. A path that led us through our beginnings in 1983 as a distributor in Italy, that remembered our expansion in Europe in the early 2000s and our change of business model towards manufacturing our own motors, gearboxes, and control electronics. The latest milestone in Delta Line’s history is a highly strategical one and is represented by the expansion into the North American market in 2020 after 37 years of successful operations in Europe. In these first 3 years, despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on global supply chains, Delta Line's robust supply chain and unique manufacturing setup allowed the company to maintain stable lead times and gain market share while competitors struggled.

As mentioned in a recent interview with Brent Ford, Sales Director of Delta Line, when asked about the role Delta Line can play in the North American market, the answer was that "we identified an opening in the market for customers who require the volume capabilities and cost competitiveness of a larger company, but also seek the personalized service, flexibility, and design capabilities of a smaller, agile company. Delta Line is uniquely positioned to fulfill these requirements and support our customers in their pursuit of innovation and competitive advantage." With many shared industries between Europe and North America, including intralogistics, medical, packaging, agriculture, factory automation and more, Delta Line brings a wealth of experience and expertise to its North American customers. The company's strong customer service approach and collaboration with OEM engineering teams allow for the development of tailored solutions based on Delta Line's extensive range of products.

To support its expansion efforts, Delta Line has established its North American headquarters in the heart of the Denver Tech Center, strategically located to cater to the region's thriving technological industries. The new headquarters will serve as a hub for the company's operations and provide a strong foundation for its continued growth in North America.

"We pride ourselves on our development speed and constant communication with our customers to deliver designs that precisely meet their needs. Having a local North American presence is critical to this," added Ford. "Furthermore, our flexibility with components, quick prototype production, and ability to lock in specific features and firmware enable us to provide tailored solutions that give our customers a competitive advantage in their respective markets."

Delta Line's expansion into North America marks an exciting chapter in the company's history. By leveraging its expertise, innovative solutions, and commitment to customer service, Delta Line is poised to become a trusted partner for OEM customers seeking motion control solutions that combine volume capabilities with personalized service and design flexibility.
